Certified trail guides go through individual testing on safety procedures, guiding, first-aid and business management in order to become certified.
When being mentored for becoming certified Vanessa has created a program in which covers all the requirements of the Ontario Equestrian Federation and includes real life scenarios.
Candidates will learn how to mange a large head of horses and riders, unruly animals, trail hazards and other very useful skills.
As a Approved Trail Guide Mentor, Vanessa has worked with many different trail situations, fundraisers and specialty events as well as individual trail ride programs to the public.
Vanessa offers lessons for certification, clinics and workshops on certification and examinations. She also offers her services on freelance to lead trail rides and provide training for specialty trail rides or fundraiser events.
